A joint effort between Reno and Sparks police has led to the arrest of several suspects in a residential burglary. Officers observed Alexander Almond, 19, and a 17-year-old juveline attempting to commit a burglary on Brightridge Street in northwest Reno. The suspects were followed to several other neighborhoods where they ultimately burglarized a home on University Park Loop in Reno. The 17-year-old suspect left the home, taking the victims’ vehicle, which was parked in the garage. Almond left in his vehicle.

The suspects were arrested for burglary, grand larceny, grand larceny of a motor vehicle, attempted burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary. The stolen vehicle and stolen property was recovered. The investigation is on-going and additional arrests are anticipated.
